The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched an exciting initiative aimed at transforming the education sector in Ghana. The School Support Programme (SSP) is a groundbreaking opportunity for young individuals to be recruited, trained, and deployed as School Guards, Kitchen Assistants, or Community Education Teaching Assistants (CETA) in basic and secondary schools across the country.

Eligibility Criteria


To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be within the ages of 18-35
  • Possess a minimum qualification of Senior High School education
  • Applicants interested in the Teaching Assistant role must hold at least a Diploma from an accredited institution in Ghana

Conditions of Application

Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA under the following conditions:

  • Beneficiaries will be on a two (2) year contract of engagement
  • Selected Kitchen Guards will be deployed to secondary schools with boarding facilities
